It's pretty ironic that three of my favorite instruments in my small collection are percussions. I'm not a percussionist by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes I like to think that I have good enough rhythm to play percussively. I think again it is the different kind of coordination that is required to play clean and accurately that I lack in the percussion department. These three instruments are from an organization called SERRV, which carries fairly traded products. I promise an intro to fair trade sometime in the next two weeks. In the meantime, check out the great photographs by browsing through the online SERRV catalog.
Oh, and another great place for fairly traded instruments is Ten Thousand Villages. Find their home page here.
