After several unsuccessful attempts to create specifically focused blogs, I have decided to create a blog encompassing whatever I feel like discussing. I think that by doing a broader blog, I can more easily connect with people on a wide array of topics. Focused blogs are very good, but they never seemd to work out for me. I also maintain a private blog, one which only I can read. This public blog is my effort to bring others into my world, if only partly: to share topics which I am passionate about, which are many. For a while, I considered being a radio journalist, but the pressure-cooker atmosphere, among other things, made me decide to change my mind. I think my style of writing still has quite a bit of a journalistic kind of influence. Perhaps this comes from listening to public radio almost daily, absorbing elements here and there of effectively capturing my audience's attention. As I get farther along in my communication and literature majors, I am sure my writing will improve even more.
