The basic outline of the song "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair" is down on my violin. It's the refining that has to be done now. String-crossing needs to be cleaned up; fourth-finger stretch needs to be accurate. Practice practice. :)
The way music translates to your body when playing the violin is so vastly different to playing the flute. As much effort as it takes to lift weights, it takes that much effort to keep your hands nice and light and relaxed to play the violin. I never thought playing an instrument involved so much relaxation. You have to be strong in a different way: I suppose the technique is to have very steady hands mostly, and then to have a really good ear to listen to your notes.
